Tillman Social Action Fund

The Pat Tillman Foundation awarded $200,000 in grants to 41 unique student-led social action projects this summer through the Tillman Social Action Fund. This Fund was based on the record of successful social action projects generated by the Tillman Scholars at Arizona State University. In 2009, the Tillman Social Action Fund teamed with the Clinton Global Initiative to award grants to student-led social action projects around the world. From House a Hero - a program focused on helping homeless veterans in Austin, Texas - to Nepal NUTrition - a peanut butter plan to combat malnutrition in Nepal while also boosting the local economy - each of these projects and their student leaders demonstrate a commitment to advancing positive social change in their communities and the world.
