Tillman Military Scholars

The Tillman Military Scholars program supports our nation’s active and veteran servicemembers and their spouses by removing financial barriers to completing a degree program of choice. The scholarships cover not only direct study-related expenses such as tuition and fees, but also other needs, including housing and child care.

Since the program’s inception, the Pat Tillman Foundation has invested over $2.2 million in financial support. These scholarship funds are just a portion of the Tillman Military Scholar experience which also focuses on guiding an engaged community and providing essential resources that empower Scholars to serve and lead in their local communities and ease the transition from military to civilian life.

Each year, new Tillman Military Scholars join current and alumni Tillman Military Scholars both online and in-person at the annual Pat Tillman Leadership Summit and subsequent Regional Gatherings throughout the U.S., as well as, at Pat’s Run each April.

A portion of all Tillman Military Scholars is selected in cooperation with 14 University Partner institutions leading the way in veterans support services on their campuses. These partners include: Arizona State University, Columbia University, Eastern Kentucky University, Mississippi State University, San Diego State University, Texas A&M University, University of Arizona, University of Arkansas, University of Maryland, University of Michigan – Flint, University of Minnesota, University of Oregon, University of South Florida and University of Wyoming.
