<p>On November 30, I joined three other fellow Marine Corps student veterans (Patrick Pennel-Pepperdine, Michael Hansen-SDSU and Rich Cervantes-SDSU) for <em>Reflections from the Front Lines</em>, fundraising panel discussion hosted by the <a title="San Diego Diplomacy Council" href="http://www.cdcsd.org" target="_blank">San Diego Diplomacy Council</a> at the Joan B. Kroc Institute for Peace &amp; Justice at USD.</p>

We were asked to share and reflect upon our individual deployments. Discussion topics included:<em></em></p>
<ul>
<li><em></em>What were the most profound moments  of our experience?</li>
<li>How did these wars influence the next steps in our  lives?</li>
<li>What would we want to tell future generations about war?</li>
<li>What do  we think was accomplished for the people of Iraq and Afghanistan?</li>
</ul>

<p>It was a great event with excellent turnout and audience participation and all proceeds from this event went to the Veterans Village of San Diego (VVSD), one of my favorite organizations in San Diego.</p>
