At the Pat Tillman Foundation, we honor our nation’s active and veteran servicemembers and their families on a daily basis. And each November, as communities throughout the country gather to recognize Veterans Day, it provides a unique opportunity to highlight Foundation activities, Tillman Military Scholar recognitions and Scholar-led service. Yesterday marked the end of two weeks of activities as three University of Maryland Tillman Military Scholars participated in the honoring of all active and veteran servicemembers and military families through their participation in a video played during the Maryland vs. Florida State game. At the same time, all nine current Tillman Military Scholars at Mississippi State University were joined by Pat Tillman Foundation Director of Programs Hunter I Riley for an on-field recognition during the first half of their football game versus other partner institution University of Arkansas.
