Staff Sergeant Chris Grisham

Staff Sergeant Chris Grisham entered the U.S. Army shortly after high school, serving three deployments overseas. Two of these deployments were to Iraq in 2003-2004 and 2005-2006, and one to Afghanistan in 2009-2010. While not deployed, Chris was stationed at Fort Campbell, Kentucky, where he earned his CIB (combat infantryman badge), EIB (expert infantryman badge), air assault badge and learned the most important skill from the Army: leadership.

After returning home from his last deployment, Chris returned home to Arkansas to finish his undergraduate degree in history as a step towards pursuing his dream of becoming a lawyer. With the birth of his daughter, he is more determined than ever to complete his undergraduate work and enroll in law school. Chris was the first in his family to join the military and upon graduation, he will be the first in his family with a college degree.

Knowing the stigmas veterans face upon returning home, with his law degree Chris plans on working with the VA to make sure that every veteran gets the support they need to be successful outside of the military. His goal is to be a good role model and father to his daughter while helping those that protect our freedoms in America.
