Specialist Stephen Byron

Specialist Stephen Byron was born and raised in New Jersey in a time when any reference to the “Jersey Shore” meant you were going to the beach. Not being content with merely working with an Associate’s degree, Stephen announced his independence to his parents by enlisting in the Army.

After basic training, Stephen was trained as an Intelligence Analyst and served with the 311th MI Battalion, 101st Air Assault Division from 1982 to 1986 where he was assigned to the G2 Tactical Command Post/Opposing Forces unit and was personally responsible for the care, control and operation of all of the foreign weapons, ammunition and equipment at Ft. Campbell, KY.

Twenty years later, Stephen is returning to school to earn his Master’s degree in social work from the University of Arkansas. With his Master’s and licensure as a clinical social worker, Stephen intends to resume his commitment to the military by providing the support and services needed to assist fellow veterans who are facing the challenges of re-associating to civilian life.
