Specialist Dustin Curtis

Specialist Tracy Dustin Curtis was determined to be a good soldier. His two Purple Hearts and several other recognitions can attest to that. But what Dustin did not expect from his tour during Operation Iraqi Freedom, was to find his future through the eyes of the Iraqi children he encountered there.

While serving, Dustin interacted with many Iraqi children. This sparked his interest to pursue a career working with children as a teacher. So when he returned home, Dustin decided to pursue a degree in early childhood education.
While maintaining an impressive academic standard and focus on his studies, Dustin also finds time to tutor elementary students. Teaming up with his wife, the two are making a difference as volunteers in the lives of children both in and out of the classroom.

Currently working as a student teacher as a component of his degree program, Dustin hopes to one day lead his own class of elementary school students and teach his students the value of education and how to be successful in their own lives.
