As a student and father, juggling education and family can be tough. But there is no challenge that Sergeant Quincy Lopez can not survive. From the mean streets of the Bronx to the mean streets of Iraq, his story runs full of excitement and achievement.
Quincy decided to join the military after realizing that he had a greater cause. He served in the military intelligence corps. He later deployed and sustained injuries that could have held any strong athlete down, but not Quincy. After 10 surgeries and the will to never give up, he has successfully started a new path and is pursuing a degree at the University of South Florida.
Armed with his strong military background and education, Quincy wants to work as a civilian contractor with the Department of Defense at Mac Dill AFB where the Special Operations Command (SOCOM) and Central Command (CENTCOM) are located as an intelligence information security professional. He wants to train deploying troops and then work for the Department of Veterans Affairs and give back to the greatest Americans that have ever served our nation.
