Sergeant Marisela Spangler is busy pursuing her dream of becoming a veterinarian. Not only is she a student at Texas A&M University studying animal science with a minor in military studies, but she is also in the Corps of Cadets, works two jobs, finds times to volunteer and is adopted mother of three boys.
Marisela enlisted in the Army after high school and became a sergeant working as a 92F (petroleum supply specialist). She is currently participating in the ROTC program and inspires to become an officer upon graduation.
While in College Station, she enjoys everything campus life offers. Marisela sings for the university, volunteers in the inner city working with children, tutors children who are struggling with English and is a member of the campus veterans association.
After she completes her bachelor’s degree, Marisela plans to enroll in veterinary school at Texas A&M to continue her education and complete her dream to commission into the Veterinary Corps of Officers and continue to serve her country.
