As an undergraduate student at the University of Iowa, Sergeant Lyndsey Anderson studied anthropology and art history. As a member of the U.S. Army, and during her 2004 tour of duty in Iraq, Lyndsey spent her downtime collecting and recording items of cultural significance left behind in the city she was stationed.
This firsthand experience in cultural conservation reinforced Lyndsey’s commitment to valuing and safeguarding artifacts significant to society and human history. To further this commitment, Lyndsey is currently working towards her Master of Arts in museum studies to become a museum professional dedicated to accomplish her goal of bringing museum content to all members of the public.
Lyndsey is currently working for the Rubin Museum in New York City.
