Senior Airman Caleb Lesselles

Duty and service compelled Caleb to enlist in the U.S. Air Force after the events of September 11, 2001. Leaving his hometown of Reno, Nevada, Caleb found himself stationed across the country in Delaware as a Loadmaster.

He extensively traveled while loading and delivering essential cargo and personnel across the globe for Operation Enduring Freedom, Operation Iraqi Freedom and various humanitarian relief missions. The Air Force instilled the confidence and drive needed for diligent continued service to community, and he continues to work towards creating a better country in the field of sustainable design.

Recognizing the increasing societal need to shift towards energy independence and environmental awareness, Caleb’s undergraduate degree in environmental studies included an interdisciplinary approach for studying human impacts and societal issues with regards to the natural world.

Caleb is pursuing a Master’s degree in architecture at the University of Oregon, and strives to create environments using methods and technologies that will ensure a sustainable future. By studying and emulating natural systems along with current and emerging technologies, Caleb will work with communities to create places to serve people while also working to benefit the environment and future generations.
