Private First Class Kyle Cawood

As an Army combat medic, Kyle Cawood, sometimes called “Doc” by his peers, served his tour of duty in Ar Ramadi, Iraq, at the Al Anbar Provincial Government Center in 2008. During this deployment, he was awarded several honors for his outstanding service.

The health and wellness of his soldiers was always his top priority. A husband and father of five, Kyle was trained to administer life saving care in a combat situation. He took his position seriously and knew his teammates were depending on quality healthcare.

Kyle is nationally EMS certified by the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians and also holds an EMT license with the state of Michigan. His training and military experience have led him to pursue a career in nursing. Currently, he is studying to become a registered nurse, a step towards becoming his battalion’s Physician Assistant where he can continue to help soldiers in need.

In addition to his service in the medical field, Kyle has a heart for government service, having already run for local office and aiming to do so again to represent his neighbors and fellow servicemembers at a larger level.
