Petty Officer Third Class Arthur Leal

As a hospital corpsman in the U.S. Navy, Petty Officer Third Class Arthur Leal provided medical care to civilians and active duty military members. As a student at the University of Arkansas, he has continued his journey in the sciences while studying pre-veterinary medicine and animal science.

If there is one thing the Navy taught Arthur, it is leadership. At the university, Arthur has taken on the role as Student Ambassador representing all students in presenting the campus to future Razorbacks. Trying new things and being aware and proud of his accomplishments are other military traits he holds dear.

In the future, Arthur plans to continue his focus on medicine and use both his in-class and field experiences to further his education and someday become a physician’s assistant.
