Jeff Meray had a fleeting desire to join the military ever since he had been pen-pals with a soldier fighting in the first Gulf War during fifth grade. He joined the Navy prior to completing high school because he wanted to better his life and serve his country.
He served on two deployments to the Persian gulf on the USS George Washington as an aviation electronics technician. On those deployments he helped maintain four EA-6B aircrafts that carried out missions in support of Operation Southern Watch and Operation Enduring Freedom.
After leaving the Navy in 2003 Jeff pursued a bachelor’s of science in political science and fathered two handsome boys, Noah and Joseph, all while being employed full time. Jeff is currently fulfilling his dream of becoming a lawyer. He is entering his second year at the University of Oregon School of Law and after graduation Jeff plans to pursue a career in child advocacy in an effort to protect and serve those members of our society that cannot protect themselves.
