Josiah Hill is a graduate of the United States Coast Guard Academy and following graduation, he honorably served his country for five years. While on active duty, he specialized in tactical law enforcement and illicit drug interdiction. During this time, he was able to participate in many medical missions that fueled his passion for medicine and helping others.
After leaving active duty, Josiah worked as an EMT on an ambulance and in an inner-city emergency department in Denver, CO. These experiences, combined with his military service, further cemented his desire to become a physician. As a Tillman Military Scholar, he completed the Master’s in Medical Sciences program at the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine, and he is now a medical student, concurrently working toward an MD/MBA degree. After graduation, he plans to focus on international medical aid and healthcare policy.
An Ironman triathlete and avid waterman, Josiah has always been dedicated to completing the task in front of him, and is excited for what the future holds.
