Lance Corporal Anton Hoffman

Lance Corporal Anton Hoffman joined the Marine Corps Reserve in April 2006. While serving with the 4th Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion he was activated with Delta Company in 2007 and was attached to 2nd Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion in Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. In Iraq, he spent seven months in an LAV-25 charged with operating and maintaining the LAV-25 and its weapon systems. While in Iraq, he conducted more than 200 combat operations.

Anton seeks to go a step above in everything he does, and so upon his return from Iraq, he sought acceptance into the USMC Special Forces, Marine Recon. After passing the Marine Reconnaissance Screening, he transferred to 4th Reconnaissance Battalion, Bravo Company in Smyrna, Georgia.

Anton has accomplished all of this while pursuing his Bachelors of Arts in linguistics at the University of Maryland. As is seen through his actions, Anton wants to make a difference by setting an example of high standards while serving his country in the military and later on in federal law enforcement.
