Chief Petty Officer Ryan Myers

Coming from a family with a deep-rooted history of serving in the military, Ryan was compelled to follow that path in order to fulfill a duty. After graduating from college, he enlisted in the Navy to become a SEAL.

He has served 12 years of active duty and has had multiple deployments to Europe, South America and the Middle East. He has earned several military honors, including a Bronze Star with Valor.

His career goal has always been to become a physician and he credits the military for making him more focused in his academic pursuits. Upon graduating from the University of Washington School of Medicine, he plans to become a Naval Medical Officer to be part of an elite team of professionals with a common goal. He plans to put his medical training to work in support of deployed men and women.

As a SEAL corpsman, Ryan had the opportunity to provide health care to local people in all of the countries in which he was stationed, an experience that touched him. He plans to continue work to provide free health care services to nations in Southeast Asia, Oceania and South America.
