Captain Cormick Wong

As a Chinese immigrant growing up in California, Cormick had a great desire to serve in the military and decided to forego college after graduating from high school and, instead, enlist in the Air Force even though he wasn’t a citizen at the time. After the tragic events of September 11, 2001, he felt more resolve and determination than ever, and made the decision to pursue his commission and take on a greater responsibility for service.

After eight years of total service and the continuing desire to serve, Cormick has enrolled at Columbia University to pursue his master’s degree in operations research. Upon finishing his studies, he plans to promote greater efficiency and improve decision making capabilities across all spectrums in the Department of Defense and other government agencies though the application of operations research.
