Brief Description

Pat's Run is the signature annual fundraising event for the Pat Tillman Foundation. Created in 2004 following Pat's death, the Foundation carries forward Pat's legacy of leadership and civic action by supporting future generations of leaders who embody the American tradition of citizen service.

Join over 20,000 runner and walkers as they come together at Sun Devil Stadium to celebrate the life and legacy of Pat Tillman. All events finish on the 42 yard line of the ASU Sun Devil Stadium.

The Course

The 4.2 mile flat course tours through Tempe and ends in dramatic fashion on the 42-yard line of Sun Devil stadium, honoring the number 42 jersey that Pat Tillman wore as an ASU Sun Devil. The starting line is on Packard Drive on the east side of the stadium. The finish line is on the 42-yard line of Sun Devil Stadium at Arizona State University.

Online Registration

Online registration is open for this event through the evening of April 9, 2010. Walk up registration will be available at the North end of Sun Devil Stadium, April 14th - 16th. You may also register from 5:00 am to 6:30 am on race morning, at the Packard Drive Registration Desk.

Each registered participant and finisher will receive the following:

Pat's Run Kids Run

Pat's Run Kids Run is a .42 mile run/walk for children ages 12 and under. that finishes on the 42-yard line of Sun Devil Stadium. All participants will receive runner refreshments and a race t-shirt. Participants must register online or on the Pat's Run entry form.

Kids Corner

The Kids Corner is an interactive zone for children ages 12 and under featuring face painters, carnival games, Arizona State football players and local Arizona team mascots.

Finish Line Festival

The fun continues after the race with a free finish line festival including live music, refreshments and expo.

Packet Pick Up

Packet pick-up will be available Wednesday, April 14 through Friday, April 16 at the North end of Sun Devil Stadium from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Yes, you may have a family member or friend pick up your packet. Packet Pick-up is also available race morning, at the Packard Drive Registration Desk, 5:00 a.m. to 6:30 a.m. Packet Pick-Up for Teams may be completed by one member.

Teams

Teams consisting of a minimum of 5 members may sign up online in one of several divisions: Small Corporation up to 250 employees; Large Corporation over 250 employees; College; School; Family; Military (active or retired) or Open (does not fit any other category). Teams may register online or by application form (but not both) and registration forms must be submitted no later than April 4th. Each and every team member must complete a race entry.

How to Create or Sign Up for a Team

Team Captains: To create a team you must first select Register Now choose Race Registration from there select the category: Creating a Team Register Here! (Team Captains Only). Then continue on and register for the event. Team Members: Once your Team Captain has created your team name, click on the Register Now link. From there choose Race Registration and select Joining a Team Register Here! Select your team name from the drop down box on the form & proceed with registration.

Timing Results

RacePlace Events is the official timing company of Pat's Run. Results will be posted at www.patsrun.com by 4:00 pm April 17, 2010.

T-Shirt Only/Shadow Runner

Can't be there on Race Day? Run, Walk and Honor wherever you are. Packets can ONLY be mailed to people who are NOT participating in the race but would like to receive a shirt. Please choose the registration option for 'Event T-Shirt Only/Shadow Runner - not participating' (this registration fee includes a $5 shipping fee). T-shirt only supporter shirts will be mailed Tuesday, April 13, 2010.

Team Tillman - Pat's Run

Team Tillman is a fundraising program for individuals who identify with the values exhibited by Pat Tillman and believe in the Pat Tillman Foundation's mission. Members of Team Tillman - Pat's Run will receive exclusive gear and benefits.

Rain or Shine

This event will take place rain or shine, so please dress accordingly.

Parking

Limited free parking is available in Packard Drive South Parking Garage (east of Sun Devil Stadium); at Stadium Garage off veteran's Way (across from the Wells Fargo Arena) and on the northeast corner of Scottsdale Road and Rio Salado Parkway. Due to race day congestion it is strongly recommended that participants carpool, walk, bike or use Light Rail to get to the start area. Please check the website in March for more detailed information.

Alternative Transportation

Avoid race day traffic and take the Valley METRO Light Rail to Pat's Run. The light rail has a stop located at Veterans Way and College Avenue (1/2 mile from the race start line). Trains run every 15 minutes between 5am and 11pm and one-way tickets are available for $1.75 at all stations. Valley METRO representatives will be at Packet Pickup to provide more information on how to best utilize light rail on race day. You may also ride your bike as a great pre-race warm up. There will be a fence set up near the start line where you may lock your bike.

Medical Information

The Medical Team is a dedicated group of medical professionals available to assess your race day needs and administer acute first aid if necessary. Medical stations will be located at the start, finish and at every water station along the course

ASI Photo, the official race photographers of Pat's Run, will be at the start line, finish line and on-course to capture commemorative race photos. These photos will be available online at www.patsrun.com a few days after the event.
