Foundation to Make “Never Forget #40” Wristbands Available

San Jose, CA. (July 28, 2005) - The Pat Tillman Foundation has announced that the “Never Forget #40” wristbands are available via the Foundation’s website [ www.pattillmanfoundation.org ]. The wristbands were generously created and produced by the Arizona Cardinals in limited quantities and distributed to fans attending the New York Giants vs. Cardinals game on Sunday, November 14, 2004, in Tempe, Ariz.

Due to an overwhelming demand, the Foundation is ordering additional wristbands and will provide them to those that fill out our web request form . Although the wristbands will be sent at no charge, a contribution to the Foundation is greatly appreciated.

“We’re pleased that the Cardinals began this tribute and are touched that so many people across the country want to honor Pat by wearing the wristband,” said Alex Garwood, Pat’s brother-in-law and Executive Director of the Pat Tillman Foundation. “The wristbands serve as a tangible way to share his inspiration and do something positive.”

“I know there's been considerable demand for the wristbands since we gave them out at last Sunday's game,” said Michael Bidwill, Arizona Cardinals Vice-President/General Counsel. “Now that they’re available through the Foundation, we hope even more people will be able to get them, show their respect for Pat's life and legacy while supporting the foundation.”

Proceeds from the purchase of items including the wristbands from online auction sites do not benefit the Pat Tillman Foundation. However, proceeds from the #40 Cardinals jersey and the #42 Arizona State jersey benefit the Foundation.
