Packet Pick-up

Packet Pick-up will be available at the north end of Sun Devil Stadium. Please note, all participants must pick up their race packet prior to race day and no later than Friday, April 20th at 6:00 p.m.

  • Wednesday, April 18, 2012 – 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
  • Thursday, April 19, 2012 - 9:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. (Extended Hours)
  • Friday, April 20, 2012 – 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

You may have a family member or friend pick up your packet. Registered teams with 10 members or more can select a consolidated team packet pick-up on Friday, April 13, 2012.

The Course

The 4.2 mile course winds through the streets of Tempe and is staged so that all participants finish on the 42-yard line on Frank Kush Field inside Sun Devil Stadium, symbolic of the #42 jersey Pat wore while he was a Sun Devil. The start line is located on the East side of the stadium on Packard Drive. The route features three aid stations and five runner refreshment zones at the finish.

Event Registration

Space permitting, online registration will remain open through the evening of Friday, April 13, 2012. We anticipate Pat’s Run registration will sell out for 2012. Should spots still be available, race week walk-up registration will be located at the north end of Sun Devil Stadium, Wednesday, April 18 through Friday, April 20.

Each year Pat’s Run continues to improve on its commitment to be a green event. This year we are reducing the number of printed materials we produce and encouraging participants to register online. If you must register by mail or fax please use this Pat’s Run offline registration form.

Participant Premiums

Each registered participant and finisher will receive the following:

  • Commemorative 4.2 mile technical race shirt or Kids Run cotton T-shirt
  • Race number and timing tag
  • Inspirational finish on the 42-yard line inside Sun Devil Stadium
  • Three aid stations along the course
  • Runner Refreshment Zones with fruit, sports drink and water at the finish
  • Activities and entertainment for the entire family at the Finish Line Expo
  • A truly memorable experience

Pat’s Run Kids Run

Pat’s Run Kids Run is a .42 mile run/walk for children ages 12 and under that finishes on the 42-yard line inside Sun Devil Stadium. All participants will receive refreshments, a souvenir race T-shirt and goodie bag. Participants must register online or on the Pat’s Run registration form. The Kids Run will start at 9:30 a.m.

Kids Corner

The Kids Corner is an interactive zone for children ages 12 and under featuring interactive games, inflatables and special appearances by members of the Arizona State football team and local mascots. For your convenience, the Kids Corner will open at 6:00 a.m. for pre-race activities. Please do not leave young children unattended in the Kids Corner at any time.

Finish Line Expo

The fun continues after the race with a free finish line festival that features entertainment, refreshments, an interactive Kids Corner and an expo featuring over 40 local and national vendors. If you or your company are interested in hosting a booth at Pat’s Run please review the Pat’s Run Expo reservation form.

Teams

Participating in Pat’s Run as a team of family members, co-workers or friends allows you to create and share special memories. Please note, team registration closes March 31, 2012. After that date all participants will be registered as individuals. Team Captains will be given the option to request an early consolidated packet pick-up for the entire team.

How to Create or Sign Up for a Team

Team Captains:

  • Logon to www.patsrun.com and click on the blue REGISTER NOW button
  • Select the “Register as an Individual, Team Member or Team Captain” category
  • Login with your Active account and click Sign In.  If you do not have an Active account, enter your email address as a New User and click Continue
  • Select Yourself as the participant (Note: You can only create a team if you are registering Yourself.  You cannot create a team on behalf of someone else.)
  • Answer the required Participant Information questions
  • When you reach the Team Information section, select the option to Create a Team
  • Enter your Team Name and a Team description and answer team related questions
  • Check the box if you would like to require a password to join your team
  • Join Team Tillman Pat’s Run 2012 by selecting Fundraise for Pat Tillman Foundation (this will create your team fundraising webpage)
  • Agree to required event Waivers and enter your Electronic Signature, click Continue to review your cart, click Check Out complete payment process and confirm your registration (Be sure to write down your team password to share with your team members.)
  • Invite family, co-workers and friends to join you team by sharing your team name and password

Team Members:
Please note, you cannot register for a team until the Team Captain has created your team name.

Timing Results

RacePlace Events is the official timing company of Pat’s Run. Results will be posted online by 4:00 p.m. on April 21, 2012.

Team Tillman – Pat’s Run

Every registered Pat’s Run participant and volunteer has the opportunity to join Team Tillman Pat’s Run to earn unique gear, gifts and benefits – including reserved race day parking – while raising important funds and awareness for the Pat Tillman Foundation.

Pat’s Run Shadow Runs

The Pat Tillman Foundation is proud to partner with the ASU Alumni Association to provide the opportunity for Tillman supporters nationwide to Run, Walk and Honor Pat’s legacy. Check here to see if a Pat’s Run Shadow Run is being held in your area.

T-shirt Only Participant

Run, Walk and Honor in support of the Pat Tillman Foundation wherever you may be. Race shirts will only be mailed to those not participating in the national Tempe race, but who would like to receive an official race shirt. 

Please choose the registration option for ‘T-shirt Only’. The T-shirt Only fee is $35 for an adult technical race shirt, and $10 for a youth cotton T-shirt and includes a $5 shipping fee. T-shirt only packets will be mailed the week following the race.

Rain or Shine

Pat’s Run will take place rain or shine, so please dress accordingly.

Medical Information

The Medical Team is a dedicated group of medical professionals available to assess your race day needs and administer acute first aid if necessary. Medical stations will be located at the start, finish, Kids Corner and at every water station along the course.

Capture the Moment

ASI Photo, the official race photographers of Pat’s Run, will be on-site to capture commemorative race photos. These photos will be available online for purchase at www.patsrun.com a few days following the event.
