Learn about the History of the Pat Tillman Foundation. Foundation History
Family and friends created the Pat Tillman Foundation in 2004 to honor Pat’s legacy and pay tribute to his commitment to leadership and service. The mission of the Pat Tillman Foundation is to invest in military veterans and their spouses through educational scholarships – building a diverse community of leaders committed to service to others. To date, 230 Tillman Military Scholars representing 34 states and attending 71 academic institutions nationwide have been awarded over $3.2 million in scholarship support.
The Pat Tillman Foundation thanks all of our 35,000 participants, volunteers and spectators from every state in the nation and around the world who gathered to Run, Walk and Honor Pat’s legacy of leadership, service and action.
Proceeds from the race will directly support our Class of 2013 Tillman Military Scholars. For complete race results and photos as well as to purchase official Pat’s Run gear, click here.
