This past Saturday, October 9, at the Texas A&M vs. Arkansas Southwest Classic football game, Tillman Military Scholars Angela Kiker (Texas A&M) and Emile Phaneuf (Arkansas) were honored to be part of an on field recognition in front of fans from both schools at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

Angela and Emile were joined on the field during the second quarter by Texas A&M University President Dr. R. Bowen Loftin, University of Arkansas Chancellor G. David Gearhart and Pat Tillman Foundation Director of Programs Hunter I Riley. As the largest jumbotron in the world flashed a photo of Pat Tillman, the 65,000 plus audience united in an standing ovation lasting the entire two minutes of their recognition as members of the distinct class of Tillman Military Scholars.
Angela proudly represented the six Texas A&M Tillman Military Scholars while Emile, an inaugural scholar, represented the fifteen Arkansas Tillman Military Scholars. In all, 111 Tillman Military Scholars are attending universities across the country.
