Tillman Scholars – Arizona State University, led by Christien Crynes, gathered supplies from the local community and from friends to send a care package to Tillman Military Scholar Kirby Bowling and his platoon. Kirby was redeployed to Afghanistan this past December. These care packages included chewing gum, jerky, personal letters, reading materials and more.
Kirby and his platoon received the care packages just a few weeks ago and passed on their thanks.
“The big hits were beef cubes/jerky and the books, apparently the authors were some of the guys’ favorites. My personal fav were the cards. Of course everything was appreciated and we are grateful for your support.” – Kirby
